An anonymous donor has donated funds to The University of Western Australia to establish a fund to provide scholarships to assist Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students undertaking research into breast cancer This travel scholarship is provided to enable postgraduate research students to undertake travel for purposes directly relevant to their research into breast cancer, including but not limited to fieldwork, conference attendance and gathering research data.
The Breast Cancer Research Travel Scholarship is a supplementary scholarship to be held in conjunction with an Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend or equivalent postgraduate research scholarship recognised by the University.
Available in the 2021 Round for Domestic applicants and UWA international graduates only
To be eligible to apply for consideration for the scholarship an applicant must -
(a) meet the requirements for entry to the nominated course, including satisfying the requirements of the University Policy on: Adequate Research Preparation; (governance.uwa.edu.au/policy/UP11/25;
(b) be eligible to enrol or be enrolled as a full-time student, or in exceptional circumstances and with the approval of the GRS as a part-time student, in a HDR at the University by the date of commencement of the scholarship; and
(c) be undertaking research into breast cancer.
