The late Frieda Grace Marie Neumann bequeathed to The University of Western Australia ("the University") the residue of her estate to establish and maintaina postgraduate award or awards in agriculture. The Charles and Annie Neumann PhD Fellowship in Agriculture is available to enable agricultural science graduates of the Faculty of Science at the University to engage upon research either within or without the State of Western Australia in the interest of and for the benefit of farming in Western Australia. The Charles and AnnieNeumann PhD Fellowship in Agriculture provides a full-time stipend of$40,000per annum and a research and conference travel allowance of $5,000 perannum.

Applicants must be UWA graduates; be enrolled in or be eligible to enrol in a PhD in the Faculty of Science, and intend to pursue research in agriculture for the benefit of farming in Western Australia.
