Opportunity for innovative qualitative research PhD
We are delighted to be seeking a PhD student to work as an important part of our international team on our ARC funded research project Social practices of oral health in Australian preschool children. It would be of interest to students keen to develop qualitative skills and thinking in child health, oral health and/or public health/prevention. This is an important opportunity to explore new thinking about prevention, particularly for wicked problems. It builds on our award winning previous work in this area. The intention with this particular project is to develop relationships with family members for in-depth interviews and observations to understand eating and other practices related to oral health. If this is of interest please contact us for a chat.
The knowledge to be gained from such an innovative approach will be very useful, not only in oral health but in health promotion and public health more generally.(reviewer feedback)We are seeking a suitable full time PhD candidate (note part time positions possible but would not normally be eligible for scholarship) to undertake specific research as part of this research program, working within our team.
