Title
The synchronisation hierarchy of permutation groups
Description
The aim of this project is to investigate the synchronisation hierarchy of primitive permutation groups. This hierarchy is defined by the three properties synchronising, separating and spreading which are known to be increasingly restrictive. The challenge is to determine exactly which primitive groups have these properties. For particular primitive groups, the problem can often be rephrased in terms of graphs and their cliques and colourings or finite geometries and their substructures.
