The UWA Fogarty Foundation Scholarships have been established in conjunction with the Fogarty Foundation to provide senior secondary students who show significant academic potential, together with a strong sense of community involvement and responsibility in year 11 and 12, with an opportunity to undertake an undergraduate degree of their choice at The University of Western Australia. Students must comply with the relevant requirements of their choice of course.

Please note that the University's UWA Fogarty Foundation Scholarships Selection Panel decisions with regard to awarding of these scholarships are final.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU APPLY:

The extra curricular activities are: Academic, Sport, Leadership, The Arts, and Community Service
  • Applicants have to address at least 3 of the 5 activities/achievements.
  • prepare all supporting documentation for all your extra-curricular achievements/activities. 
  • all documents must be in PDF format and be named correctly
  • HOW TO NAME YOUR DOCUMENTS: Please name each document starting with your full name and then the category of achievement and the corresponding number.  As an example if your name is Josephine Milly Blogs, and you wish to cite 3 sporting achievements, 2 community service acitivities and 1 leadership achieivement, the documents would be, josephinemillyblogssport1, josephinemillyblogssport2, josephinemillyblogssport3, josephinemillyblogscommunity1, josephinemillyblogscommunity2 and josephinemillyblogsleadership1.
  • ensure your School Principal (or nominee) is aware you are applying
To be considered eligible to apply, applicants:
  • from Tier A UWA Broadway identified schools must reasonably expect to achieve an ATAR of 95 or above based on Year 11 results ; (go to this link to find out more: http://www.studyat.uwa.edu.au/undergraduate/entry-pathways/broadway/eligible-schools-2015-17)
  • from all other schools must reasonably expect to achieve an ATAR of 99 or above based on Year 11 results
  • will have to provide evidence for at least 3 out of the 5 categories of extra-curricular achievements/activities

Shortlisted applicants must be available for an interview in July.
