North West Shelf Venture Scholarship Gas Processing (Master of Professional Engineering) F51380

The LNG 12 Conference Committee has donated the sum of $450,000 to The University of Western Australia to establish a fund to provide scholarships in Oil and Gas Process Engineering.

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage eligible students in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics to undertake a Master of Professional Engineering specializing in Chemical Engineering with units relating to Gas Processing.

This scholarship is provided from the annual income of the capital fund and may not be available every year.

Eligibility requirements:       To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, an applicant must

(a) be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia (including a Humanitarian visa); and

(b) be enrolled, or eligible to enrol, in the first 48 points of the Master of Professional Engineering(Chemical Engineering specialisation) degree course; or

(c) have completed the first 48 points of the Master of Professional Engineering (Chemical Engineering specialisation) and enrolled, or eligible to enrol, in CHPR5521 Gas Processing1Flow Assurance and Gathering and CHPR5522 Gas Processing 2Treating and LNGProduction; and

(d) include a statement (maximum 250 words), endorsed by the Chevron Chair in Gas Process Engineering 1,demonstrating sufficient understanding of the importance of

(i) (first year applicants)natural gas to the worlds current and future energy needs; or

(ii) (second year applicants) LNG and natural gas processing to Australia.
