BP Kakulas QC and Nellie Kakulas Scholarship in Law
The purpose of the BP Kakulas QC and Nellie Kakulas Scholarship in Law is to facilitate progress and provide encouragement to a student studying at level two or level three in the Faculty of Law. The scholarship is tenable for one year only and is paid in two instalments, one at the beginning of each semester.
This scholarship is open to students enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Laws course or in a combined course which includes a course for the degree of Bachelor of Laws, and who are eligible to proceed to level two or level three of the course.
Selection Criteria
This scholarship is awarded by the selection committee to the applicant who, in its opinion, best demonstrates:
- academic merit as evidenced by their academic records;
- an interest in Law as evidenced in their curriculum vitae or other application documentation; and
- financial need.
How to apply
Applications are made online and should address eligibility and all of the selection criteria. Applications must include:
- a statutory declaration made by the applicant setting out his or her financial circumstances, and
- references from three referees who collectively are able to address, from their personal knowledge of the applicant, all of the selection criteria
Short-listed applicants may be interviewed. |
