Jennifer Inkster Memorial Law Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to assist female students commencing a course leading to a Bachelor of Laws degree at UWA to undertake the Level 1 units towards the degree of the Bachelor of Laws.
The scholarship is open to female students who are enrolled (or are eligible to enrol) full-time in the first year of a LLB course or in the first year of a combined course which includes a course for the degree of Bachelor of Laws at UWA.
Selection Criteria
At his discretion, the Dean may award the scholarship to a student who has demonstrated:
- the need for financial assistance to continue her studies, based on her particular circumstances (personal and academic); and
- an interest in social justice; and
- an interest to see womens’ issues better debated, understood and responded to.
How to apply
Applications for this scholarship are completed online, and should include:
- a statement by the candidate addressing each of the selection criteria;
- a statutory declaration setting out the applicant’s financial circumstances; and
- references from 3 referees who collectively are able to address, from personal knowledge of the candidate, all of the criteria mentioned above.
