Centenary Trust for Women Miles Family Scholarship
The purpose of the award is to assist a student who is completing studies in science communication to pursue and benefit from travel and practical work experience (as arranged by the Science Communication Course Co-ordinator) in science reporting. Valuenot specified EligibilityTo be eligible for consideration an applicant must— - be female
- be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
- be from a rural or regional area of Western Australia (as defined under eligibility criteria for Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarships, available at www.scholarships.uwa.edu.au/home/undergrad/commonwealth_swans;
- be enrolled or intend to enrol full-time, unless there are exceptional circumstances that preclude full-time enrolment;
- have successfully completed the first 48 points of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Life and Physical Sciences; and
- be able to demonstrate financial hardship and limited educational opportunities, for example because of distance, economic disadvantage, cultural differences, disability or responsibility for the care of children, the ill or the elderly.
