Fircroft Australia donates funds annually to provide scholarships for students who are female and/or from rural, regional and remote areas to assist and encourage them to commence an undergraduate degree course in engineering at The University of Western Australia. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist and encourage students who are female and/or from rural, regional and remote areas to commence an undergraduate engineering degree course at the University. Value$8,000 per annum. DurationThe scholarship is tenable for two semesters which are normally consecutive. Eligibility To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, an applicant must be: (a) a citizen or permanent resident of Australia; and (b) enrolled or eligible to enrol in Level 1 units of an undergraduate engineering degree course at the University; and (c) (i) female; and/or (ii) from a rural, regional or remote area . To be eligible to take up the scholarship, the recipient must be enrolled full-time in Level 1 units of an undergraduate engineering degree course. Selection CriteriaThe scholarship is awarded by the Scholarships Committee to the eligible applicant who, in its opinion, best demonstrates academic achievement.
