Apache Energy Scholarships

In partnership with The University of Western Australia, Apache Energy has generously provided funds to annually support six scholarships to assist and encourage undergraduate and master’s by coursework engineering students at UWA to undertake studies related to oil and gas engineering.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a scholarship an applicant must be -
(a) enrolled full-time in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics at the University;
(b) (i) have completed at least 96 points of a Bachelor of Engineering degree course or the Bachelor of Engineering component of a combined course; or
(ii) have completed at least 24 points of a Master of Oil and Gas Engineering.

To be eligible to take up the scholarship an applicant must be –
(a) enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering degree course in either
(i) the Petroleum Engineering programme; or
(ii) the Chemical and Process Engineering Programme; or
(iii) the Mechanical Engineering Programme, Oil and Gas Major; or
(iv) the Civil Engineering Programme, Offshore Engineering Major; or
(b) the Master of Oil and Gas Engineering degree course.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship is awarded by the selection committee to the applicant who, in its
opinion, best demonstrates -
(a) academic achievement; and
(b) an interest in the oil and gas industry.

Selection of the recipient is made by the selection committee having regard to the applicants’ academic records, applications and supporting documentation. The selection committee may interview short-listed applicants.
