Proof of Financial Status
The following information relates to students receiving a Centrelink payment or who need to demonstrate financial hardship to apply for a scholarship. Centrelink PaymentIn order to be eligible you must be receiving a Centrelink payment by the census date of the semester in which the award is made: - 31 March in Semester 1
- 31 August in Semester 2
If your Centrelink payment will not commence until after this date, you will need to consider applying for financial hardship status (see below). If you are intending to apply for independent Youth Allowance you will need to pay special attention to whether your Centrelink payments will commence by the required date. Financial HardshipStatements regarding financial hardship will only need to be provided if you are not receiving a Centrelink payment by the required date. ie. the census date of the semester in which the scholarship offer is being made.
