Craig Coleman Scholarship

Craig Coleman has donated a sum of $25,000 to provide a scholarship to assist and encourage a meritorious student for whom educational opportunities are limited due to factors associated with personal and/or financial circumstances which may prevent them from undertaking full-time study in an undergraduate course offered by the UWA Business School.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship an applicant must—

1. be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia;
2. have been accepted into an undergraduate course in the UWA Business School.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship is awarded to the applicant who, in the opinion of the selection committee, best demonstrates through their application and supporting documentation:

1. personal and/or financial circumstances which may prevent them from undertaking full-time study in an undergraduate course offered by the UWA Business School.
2. academic achievement and leadership potential.

Duration of Award:

The scholarship is tenable for three years of the undergraduate pass degree course.

Concurrent Awards

The scholarship may not be held concurrently with another external or University award.

Application Procedure

Written applications addressing the selection criteria must be accompanied by:

1. a cover letter outlining the applicant's intentions, reasons for applying for the scholarship;
2. a curriculum vitae that includes details of the following as appropriate:
   1. academic achievements;
   2. sporting activities and achievements;
   3. community service;
   4. participation in community, voluntary or other work;
   5. leadership positions held at school, or in the community;
3. an outline explaining how the award of this scholarship will impact their life now and in the future.

This Scholarship is pending approval from the Legislative Committee.
