Ray Hart Memorial Scholarship
An initial sum of $40,000 has been donated to The University of Western Australia to establish a fund to provide a scholarship in memory of Dr Ray Hart who was a graduate of this University and who worked as an ecologist and environmental scientist.
Dr Hart’s work covered all aspects of flora, vegetation and fauna ecology and his focus was always to achieve sound environmental management through the integration of environmental principles in projects.
The scholarship is worth $3,500 and is for a student in 4th year or doing postgraduate studies in the field of natural history.
Applications
Written applications are called for annually and must be submitted to the Senior Faculty Administrative Officer of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences by 31 March of each year.
The applicant must provide (in no more than 1000 words) –
- a brief outline of the proposed research project;
- a brief description of how the project meets the purpose of and criteria for the award; and
- a brief statement of how the scholarship will benefit the applicant.
