Richard Walter Gibbon Medical Research Scholarships
The object of these faculty-funded scholarships is to facilitate and encourage science honours graduates to undertake full-time postgraduate research for a higher degree in a field related to cancer or Parkinson's Disease with a supervisor having a strong background within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at The University of Western Australia.
Applicants are required to apply to the University for an Australian Postgraduate Award in the first instance. The award is allocated to the highest ranked candidate in the Faculty’s list who meets the eligibility criteria.
The benefits are paid at the level of an Australian Postgraduate Award plus 10% together with allowances for consumables and travel equivalent to the NHMRC Dora Lush Biomedical Awards. |

- Full PhD Scholarship
- Science graduates - $27,502 per annum (2009 rate)
- Medical & Dental graduates - $29,753 per annum (2009 rate)
