F.S. Shaw Memorial Postgraduate Scholarship

Applications are invited for the award of the F. S. Shaw Memorial Postgraduate Scholarship, which is intended to assist PhD students who are engaged in research in the field of Applied Mechanics at The University of Western Australia.

The scholarship is awarded as a supplement to an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA), a University Postgraduate Award (UPA) or an equivalent postgraduate research award, and is valued at 50% of the Australian Postgraduate Award.

To be eligible for a scholarship a candidate must have been enrolled for at least one year as a full-time candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in an area of research within the field of applied mechanics.

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the merits of the applicant's research programme and its demonstrated success, which are judged on the basis of a written and an oral presentation.
