This scholarship provides a living allowance for a student undertaking the Master of Civil Engineering full-time. This scholarship is offered by Main Roads Western Australia, a major statutory organisation responsible for the stewardship of the State's $28 billion road network. Main Roads is the State's road operations agency located within the Planning and Infrastructure Portfolio, responsible for total asset management of the road network, and project delivery associated with the expansion of the network and traffic and road user management. They are entrusted with providing access to one of the largest geographically spread road networks in the world, covering over 2.5 million square kilometres, with a matching diversity in climate and road user needs. The successful applicant will conduct research that will advance the study of civil or structural engineering as it pertains to the maintenance and construction of roads in Western Australia.
